We'll share world-class content and opportunities for people like you, who are interested in advancing women's leadership, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the global development sector.

Black Women's Equal Pay Day is coming up soon in the USA. This date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year.

African-American women make 63 cents on the (male) dollar, and Latina women earn 54 cents. (On average, women in the U.S. earn 80 cents for every dollar their male counterparts earn.) You've likely heard these numbers before, but I'd like you to really think about what it means. For all the progress women have made over the past century, how are we ever going to close the leadership gap if we can't close the pay gap?

With that in mind, I invite you to watch this discussion about salary equity. Speakers discuss trends and offer concrete guidance for employers.

Interested in strategies and tactics to increase your pay? Look our for next week's WILD Wednesday where we'll be getting into the "how to" of salary negotiation.
