A seasoned social innovator, Fiona previously founded, scaled and exited a hybrid social enterprise dedicated to economic growth that did business across 100+ countries to help people to have greater economic opportunities. As part of this work, she founded the leading and only sustained global platform that captures and disseminates evidence-based scalable solutions to increase youth employment, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. During the decade she led this initiative, she was credited with raising the bar for performance and fostering higher rates of cooperation between donors, NGOs and private sector companies.
Cheryl L. Dorsey, President, Echoing Green
Echoing Green invests in the leadership of social innovators who are working to build an equitable and sustainable world in a time when opportunity is unevenly distributed. With social entrepreneurs at the nexus of this work, Echoing Green’s programs have yielded a community of nearly 800 Fellows and an ecosystem that will support these leaders long into the future. Cheryl received an Echoing Green Fellowship in 1992 to help launch The Family Van, a community-based mobile health unit in Boston. She has served in two presidential administrations and sits on several boards including the SEED Foundation and The Bridgespan Group. Cheryl has a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and her Master's in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.

She is the co-founder of Spark, the largest network of millennial donors in the world. Bonnie Chiu, Founder & CEO, Lensational
Lensational is a non-profit social enterprise that equips marginalized women with photography training and digital skills. Since launching in 2013, the organization has taught photography to 700 women across 20 countries, and established partnerships with Getty Images, Standard Chartered and Colgate. She has been awarded Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur in Europe in 2017, the Young Achiever of the Asian Women of Achievement Awards in 2016 and recognized as the Ambassador of Sustainable Development Goal 5 - Achieve Gender Equality - in the Lavazza calendar. She is also the Managing Director of The Social Investment Consultancy (TSIC), an international strategy consulting firm that advises clients on maximizing social impact, and she coordinates a network called Women in Social Finance, for senior-level women working in the field of impact investing.
Marco A. Davis, Partner, New Profit
Marco A. Davis is a Partner at New Profit, a pioneering nonprofit national venture philanthropy fund. He serves as Organizational Lead on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and he manages the Proximity accelerator, engaging innovative social entrepreneurs of color. In spring 2017, he was named a Pahara-Aspen Fellow. Before joining New Profit, Mr. Davis served under President Barack Obama as Deputy Director and Acting Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics. Previously, he was Director of Global Fellowship and Regional Manager for Latin America at Ashoka’s Youth Venture. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Leadership Development at UnidosUS (formerly the National Council of La Raza). He holds a B.A. in History and Latin American Studies from Yale University.
Ruth Ibegbuna, Founder & CEO, RECLAIM
RECLAIM enables young people to achieve their potential. The project is now in its tenth year and has picked up numerous awards along the way including Manchester Peace Activist of the Year and National Business in the Communities Sieff award for best collaboration with business to benefit society, 2011. Ruth was a member of the Independent Commission on Youth Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour and was a member of the HLF North West committee for 3 years. Ruth is now a Clore Social Fellow and an Ashoka UK Fellow, and wrote ‘On Youth’ to showcase the stories of five RECLAIM Alumni. Ruth was listed in The Sunday Times as one of the 500 most influential people in the UK as well as as one of the top six female change makers internationally by Virgin.
Stephanie Dodson Cornell, Managing Director, Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation
Stephanie Dodson Cornell is responsible for identifying and supporting DRK Entrepreneurs. Prior to joining DRK, Stephanie co-founded three social ventures: Strategic Grant Partners, a coalition of families that combines philanthropic investing and pro bono consulting to address issues for Massachusetts children in poverty; Project Healthy Children, which designs and implements food fortification programs in developing countries; and the Maranyundo Initiative, a boarding school for girls and teacher enrichment program in Rwanda. She completed the Harvard Advanced Leadership fellowship and has been an advisor and board member for several nonprofit and philanthropic organizations including Demand Abolition, Year Up, Partners in Health, WGBH, RefugePoint, Resurge, Share Our Strength and Amazon Conservation Team.
Joy Anderson, President & Founder, Criterion Institute
Joy Anderson is a prominent national leader at the intersection of business and social change. Joy transitioned from a school teacher to an entrepreneur, founding Criterion Ventures in 2002. Currently, she leads Criterion Institute which serves as a think tank around shaping markets to create social and environmental good. Criterion houses three field building initiatives, Structure Lab, Gender Lens Investing and Church as an Economic Being. Her speaking and thought leadership is focused on the practices of shaping markets, whether that is focused on how the church is both an actor and implicated in the economy, on how legal structures shape the possibilities of enterprises, or a gender lens on investing.
Molly Melching, Founder, Tostan
Molly Melching is the Founder of the Non-Governmental Organization, Tostan. Having lived and worked in Senegal since 1974, Melching’s early experiences in rural Senegal reinforced her beliefs that many development efforts were not addressing the needs and priorities of African communities. In collaboration with Senegalese villagers, Melching developed a new type of education program that actively involves both adults and adolescents by using traditional methods of learning, leading Melching to found Tostan in 1991. Tostan’s innovative grassroots human rights-based education model has led communities to make significant progress in the areas of health, education, governance, the environment and financial empowerment. Melching and the Tostan program have received numerous awards including the Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, UNESCO’s King Sejong Literacy Prize, the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship and the Thomas J. Dodd Award for Justice and Human Rights.
Brittany Boettcher, Senior Program Manager, Skoll Foundation
Brittany Boettcher currently serves as Senior Program Manager for the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship, the foundation’s flagship grantmaking program. As Senior Program Manager, Brittany focuses on strategically identifying social entrepreneurs for the Skoll Awards that are poised to have large-scale impact on the world’s most pressing problems. Prior to her work at the Skoll Foundation, she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. During her time in Boulder, Brittany served as the volunteer coordinator at the International English Center (IEC) where she recruited and managed a community of volunteers to enhance cultural experience and conversational English skills for international students.
Shannon Farley, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Fast Forward
Shannon Farley is co-founder and Executive Director of Fast Forward. Fast Forward accelerates tech nonprofits. Over the last four years, Fast Forward's portfolio of tech nonprofits have served over 35M people and raised over $56M in follow-on funding. Previously, Shannon was the founding Executive Director of Spark, the world's largest network of Millennial philanthropists. Prior to joining Spark, Shannon co-founded The W. Haywood Burns Institute, a MacArthur Award-winning juvenile justice reform organization. Maura McAdam, Director of Entrepreneurship and Professor of Management, Dublin City University
Maura is a nationally and internationally recognized scholar within the area of female entrepreneurship. In addition to authoring the book ‘Female Entrepreneurship’, her research has been published in top-rated North American and UK journals. In 2014, her paper “Advancing debate and challenging myths; exploring the mystery of the under-performing female entrepreneur” won an Emerald Literati Award and to date, her work has received a total of seven best paper awards. Furthermore, in 2015, she participated in an Innovative and path-breaking Think Tank “Women and Leadership” at George Washington University, as one of only 25 globally recognized leading scholars invited. Maura is a regular invited commentator on female entrepreneurship, both on radio and in print.
Dr. Shannon May, Co-Founder, Bridge International Academies
Shannon serves as the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Development Officer for Bridge International Academies, which is the largest network of technology enabled schools in Africa. Bridge is an evidenced based, data driven social enterprise utilizing cutting edge technology to deliver increased learning gains in often marginalized and under-served communities. Prior to founding Bridge, she published widely on ecological and economic development, and has served as an advisor to many international organizations, focusing on design, development, and sustainable cities around the world. Her experience also extends to the classroom, having taught in primary, middle, and secondary schools in both China and the US, as well as in the university lecture halls of the University of California, Berkeley.
Pamela Roussos, Chief Innovation Officer, Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship
As Chief Innovation Officer Pamela is responsible for ensuring the scaling of Miller Center’s work both working with social entrepreneurs and partners, and innovating new methods of support and engagement with social entrepreneurs. Pamela began working with social entrepreneurs nine years ago as a mentor for Miller Center's GSBI (Global Social Benefit Institute) program while she continued her career as a software executive. She has over 20 years of experience growing teams and delivering products for both large and start-up software companies, working in various managerial capacities such as business unit manager, vice president of marketing, COO and CEO. Some of the companies Pamela has worked with include: Amdahl, Pure Software, Rational Software, Consera, Zend, and AppFirst. Pamela currently serves on the board of Pact, an international NGO that benefits communities by promoting healthy lifestyles, decent livelihoods, and sustainable natural resources.
Cathy Clark, Director, Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) i3 Initiative on Impact Investing, Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business
Named in 2014 one of the top 20 women in the USA working in philanthropy, social innovation and civic engagement, Cathy has been active for over 25 years in the fields of impact investing and social entrepreneurship. She serves as Faculty Director at the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she founded and directs the CASE i3 Initiative on Impact Investing and co-leads the Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator at Duke (SEAD), an accelerator working to scale impact of global health ventures in India and East Africa. She is also lead author of CASE’s online series for impact entrepreneurs, CASE Smart Impact Capital, and co-author of CASE’s #ScalingPathways series.
