Executive Assistant / Event Coordinator

The WILD Network is seeking a virtual Executive Assistant / Event Coordinator to partner with the CEO in our mission to advance women’s leadership, as well as equity, diversity and inclusion in the global development sector through world-class training, events and conferences.

The WILD Network’s capstone event, the Women in Global Development Leadership Forum, is the world’s first and largest conference on women's leadership, equity, diversity and inclusion in the global development sector.

The Executive Assistant / Event Coordinator will be a core member of the WILD team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking a long-term position to support the global advancement of women’s leadership.

This is a remote position and the ideal candidate would be based in Eastern Time or in a neighboring timezone.


  • Play a key role in supporting the annual conference by coordinating with advisory committees, sponsors, speakers, and the event management vendor. 
  • Coordinate communications, logistics, and participants for approximately 10 smaller events per year.
  • Develop and use templates to assemble information, load content into e- marketing platform, and send out weekly newsletters.
  • Manage website updates, social media postings and other internet outreach.
  • Set up and maintain systems (e.g., databases, lists, events, metrics, tracking and reporting information).
  • Schedule and attend particular meetings to take notes and confirm next steps.
  • Prepare contracts.
  • Follow established procedures, along with adapting/improving and creating new processes as needed.
  • Three times per week social media posting (increasing to daily in lead up to conference)
  • Complete daily “End of Day” report to summarize what has been accomplished.
  • Assistance with some personal administrative items such as address list and scheduling.


  • Experience organizing at least five events involving 20 or more participants, ideally with both virtual and live components and multiple speakers.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating the activities of other people.
  • Fluency in English communication, both oral and written.
  • A highly professional and clear writing style along with strong proof-reading skills.
  • Comfortable learning and using technology platforms and software tools such as Zoom, Kajabi, google docs, Canva, Calendly, HelloSign, and

  • Flexible in handling a wide variety of tasks
  • Confident in asking for help and suggesting alternatives
  • Prior education or work experience in global development, leadership development, and/or diversity-equity-inclusion industries would be a plus.


  • July and August 2021: 10 hours per week
  • September 2021 onwards: 25 hours per week

At least half of the weekly hours must be worked during the core hours of 9am to 3pm Eastern Time. Advance notice must be provided if unavailable during core hours.



Commensurate with experience.
